Self-led, Online Conscious Activism for all, anytime.
Launching Autumn 2022
Do you feel called to use your skills to cultivate meaningful change?
Are you Interested in learning healing practices that can facilitate healing from stress, anxiety, and depression?
Do you want to create healing, supportive space, inclusive space in your community in a compassionate and effective way?
Have you been looking for ways to take your yoga off the mat and into your communities?
OMPowerment’s signature Conscious Activism training will support you in cultivating sustainable wellbeing culture and in innovating and organising change work for yourself and your groups and communities. We explore the connection between yoga and other healing practices, trauma and the collective factors which create and perpetuate trauma, and look at how to reduce these harmful patterns and act as advocates of positive change and equity within our teaching. In this training, we deepen our understanding of what Self Care means, and discuss ways in which we can balance our own personal care with the needs of the collective in a way that makes sustained healing possible. We also consider ways in which we can cultivate more resilience in approaching challenging issues.
This training is self-led; you will gain access to the course content and have the flexibility to work through it on your own time, and to return to specific content in the future to review. You will also have the opportunity to join a community of like minded seekers and facilitators to ask questions, discuss the work, and share experiences. We offer an online discussion community for all participants, as well as mentorship groups that you will be invited to join should you wish to discuss the content with others.
Conscious Activism is offered over four modules. You are welcome to purchase single modules if there is a specific topic you wish to engage with, or complete the full series.
Note that anyone who wishes to volunteer on future programming must complete all four modules prior to doing so, or complete modules one, three, and four and provide us with proof of other trauma informed yoga certification in lieu of completing module two. OMPowerment will then either verify that certification or request that the individual completes this mod. Possible alternate options include the Collective Resilience or Yoga for Humankind trauma informed yoga certification trainings.
